Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 27, 2026.
Porchstone Web Co. is based in Iowa, United States. This policy explains how we handle information you share through this website.
Information you share
When you use our contact form or email us, you may share your name, business name, email address, optional phone number, business type, package choice, preview request, optional maintenance interest, and message. We use this information to respond to you and to prepare your preview or website.
How the contact form works
When you submit the contact form, the information you enter is sent to FormSubmit, a third-party form delivery service, for processing and delivery to our business email inbox. Before submission, the form holds your entries in the current page's memory rather than saving them in browser storage.
FormSubmit and Gmail, our email provider, process inquiries under their own policies. FormSubmit's privacy information describes its handling of submitted information and use of cookies; our inquiry-retention period does not control providers' separate practices. See FormSubmit's Privacy Policy (PDF) and Google's Privacy Policy.
How we use it
We do not sell your information. We use it to communicate about your project, send quotes, and provide services you request.
Visitor analytics and cookies
We have not added Google Analytics, advertising trackers, session-replay tools, or other optional third-party tracking services to this website.
Lovable, our hosting platform, provides built-in visitor analytics. Visitor analytics is enabled for this website. On the published site, it measures visits (browsing sessions, not unique people), pages viewed, average visit duration, bounce rate, referring sources and campaign tags, countries, and device types. We use these measurements to understand website traffic and improve the website. According to Lovable's documentation, analytics uses a random visit identifier discarded when the visit ends, sets no cookies, stores nothing in visitors' browsers, and does not build visitor profiles or follow people across separate visits. The analytics script and reporting address are on the site's own domain, and no outside analytics service receives the analytics data. These cookie-free statements describe Lovable's visitor analytics, not all hosting or third-party processing. See Lovable's analytics documentation.
Lovable's Privacy Policy says it processes enabled app analytics on the app owner's behalf and also creates de-identified data to improve its services and provide comparative insights. Discarding a visit identifier does not mean all analytics records are deleted at the end of a visit. Provider-held analytics records are handled under Lovable's policies; we do not promise a fixed retention period for those records.
Fonts and technical data
This website loads fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser requests those resources from Google's servers, which receive technical request information such as your IP address and browser information. Google Fonts is separate from Google Analytics. See Google Fonts' privacy information.
Hosting and troubleshooting data
To deliver and secure the website, hosting infrastructure receives technical requests, including the connecting IP address and information sent by the browser. Hosting providers may process request, usage, security, and diagnostic information to operate their services, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot problems. Lovable's general Privacy Policy describes automatically collected service metadata such as IP addresses, approximate location, browser and operating-system information, usage information, and error or diagnostic logs. The information processed depends on the service and request; this is not a statement that every listed field is stored for every website visit.
According to Lovable's Privacy Policy, operational and security logs are kept as long as needed to run and secure its services, and longer when investigating an incident. It describes role-limited staff access and service providers acting under contract. We do not promise a fixed hosting-log retention period or that IP addresses are never retained. Essential hosting and security processing is separate from visitor analytics and may continue even if analytics is disabled. See Lovable's Privacy Policy.
Technical errors may be logged for troubleshooting. Where Lovable-provided error reporting is available, error details such as an error message, stack trace, and page path may be processed for diagnostics. This is separate from aggregate visitor analytics.
How long we keep information
We keep general customer inquiries for up to 8 months after our last communication, unless records must be retained longer for business or legal reasons. This period applies to the inquiry records we control; it does not set retention periods for third-party providers or automatically delete records. Project, payment, and other business records may need to be retained longer where business or legal requirements apply.
